Kings Gap Environmental Education and Training Center is operated by the Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks. The center provides a wide variety of educational programs and services for both the general public and schools. In addition, recreational opportunities such as hiking are available on sixteen miles of trails that connect to three main day use areas of the center. From Interstate 81 south, take Exit 37(Newville). From the exit, travel south on Route 233 approximately 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Pine Road and continue 2.5 miles to the center’s entrance, on the right. For information about recreation, public programs and educational services provided by Kings Gap, contact the center at (717) 486-3799, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Or, visit the website listed above for a calendar of events, a map of the center and additional information. The center grounds are open to the public year-round from sunrise to sunset.
